About Allison

Allison Entrekin is an award-winning communications professional whose work has appeared in dozens of publications, including USA TODAY, Travel + Leisure and Garden & Gun. She is editor-in-chief of Atlanta Magazine, the city’s premier publication since 1961. She is also the author of For the Love of Dogs and The Goose Who Talked to the Wind. In 2024 and 2019, her writing for Southbound took home the bronze award at the prestigious Lowell Thomas Awards. Allison received her bachelor's degree in public relations from the University of Florida (top-10 program) and her master's degree in journalism from the University of Georgia (top-5 program).
